Andrew Shaw received a 3 game suspension for charging Mike Smith. Shaw got a game misconduct, thrown out of the game, and a 5 minute charging penalty. Apparently that wasn’t enough justice. Milan Lucic (during the regular season) ran into Sabres goalie Ryan Miller and gave him a concussion. Lucic didn’t get suspended but Shaw did..

Congratulations to Carcillo on his contract extension good for 2 more seasons. Whether I agree on this or not it happened. It’ll be nice to have another guy back who drops the gloves, is able to play on every line, and can light the lamp. Despite all of the positives we can draw from this there are still negatives. He is still going to get bad penalties, get suspended which is inevitable he is a bomb waiting to go off (a car bomb..lol), and if that happens and he doesn’t re-injure his knee again he could end up eating away money that could be spent on other players.
